CDL-OAU PROGRAMMES APPLICATION INSTRUCTION (2012/2013 ACADEMIC SESSION)

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following programmes:

• DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES. Available Options are:
  1. Diploma in Music
  2. Diploma in Dramatic Arts
  3. Diploma in PHE
  4. Diploma in Conservation Sc. and Tourism
  5. Diploma in Fine Arts
  6. Diploma in Education
  7. Diploma in Yoruba Studies
  8. Professional Diploma in Oral Health Care
• CERTIFICATE PROGRAMMES. Available Options are:
  1. Non-Degree Certificate in Gender Studies
  2. Post Graduate Certificate in Gender Studies
  3. Certificate Course in French Language
  4. Certificate Course in Portuguese Language

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

Diploma Programme
Candidates applying for any of the Diploma Programmes (with the Exception of Diploma in Education) must have passes in five (5)relevant subjects at credit level including English Language, at the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE), General Certificate of Education (GCE), NECO.
However, Candidates applying for Diploma in Education must have passes in any four (4) relevant subjects at credit level including English Language in SSCE, GCE, and NECO. Credit in Mathematics is also required for Science or merit/credit in four (4) relevant subjects of TC II including English Language.

Certificate Programmes
Applicants for admission into the Non-degree Certificate Programme must have at least OND or NCE certificate. However, school certificate holders who have acquired enough experience working on development issues (minimum of two years) will also be considered for the Programme. Applicants for the Post Graduate Certificate Course in Gender Studies must have a university degree from an approved University.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Applicants are to pay the predscribed application fees through any of the followin banks: Skye Bank, First Bank or UBA on eTranzact Network. (Application fee for Diploma and Certificate Programmes is N10,000.00).

IMPORTANT NOTICE

• The online forms must be filled and submitted online either immediately or within 2 weeks of accessing the website. No downloaded or printed copies of forms will be accepted. Candidates are required to check the website for the actual examination date and venue. Candidates are to note that bank charges apply and are to be paid.
• Valid email address is required, scanned/digital passport photograph (100kb Max) has to be uploaded to complete the online application.
• There are Resource Centres for Institute of Education programmes. Applicants are requested to select their preferred Resource Centres which are located in strategic areas in Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti and Osun States during application.
• The Centre for Distance Learning, OAU has not engaged any individual or organization to carry out the application procedure on her behalf and thus shall not be held responsible for any issue arising from the involvement of a third party.
