- Programme Description
- The Diploma Programme in Yoruba Studies aims at providing intensive studies in Yoruba Language, Literature and Culture. It is also designed to expose students to various aspects of Yoruba Language with a view of helping them to achieve great competence and sophistication in their understanding and appreciation of the values inherent in those aspects.
- Programme Objectives

- To prepare qualified candidates for direct entry into B.A. Yoruba programme.
- To train students to be able to apply their knowledge for the advancement of their society.
- To prepare them for relevant careers such as teaching, broadcasting and public oration.
- Admission Requirements
- Candidates for admission into Diploma Programme in Yoruba Studies must have passed any five (5) subjects at credit level including English Language and Yoruba Language at the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE), General Certificate of Education, NECO or its equivalent. However, there will be written and oral examinations before the final admission.
- Duration
- The programme is for a minimum of two (2) academic sessions of 18 months.
